Franklin Templeton: Investing in Innovation.

Jenny Johnson, President & CEO

Jenny Johnson:

At Franklin Templeton, our mission is to help people...

...achieve the most important milestones of their lives. If you think about it, most goals actually have a financial component. That is something that transcends any geography or culture. Retiring with financial independence or helping your kids pay for some of their college education, we're here to help people achieve those goals.

Jenny Johnson:

We've been around for over 75 years. The technology today is allowing us to really customize those products in a way that we've never been able to do in the past for that individual client's needs.

[TITLE CARD: Max Catalano, Managing Director, Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking]

Max Catalano:

Franklin Templeton was one of the first innovators of democratizing the investment space. Today, they are providing access to private markets and alternatives.

Jenny Johnson:

We focus a lot on growth in private assets and giving the average individual access to those returns. We've needed some unique types of financing structures to be able to customize our solutions, and Wells Fargo has been really agile and innovative in being able to build those for us.

Jon Weiss:

At Wells Fargo, the best innovation...

...is done arm-in-arm with clients like Franklin Templeton. We're client-centric, and that's part of building these trusted relationships at all levels of the company. When a key solution is required, we have enough knowledge and enough trust in each other that we can develop that together.

Jenny Johnson:

The most important thing in a true partnership is that you have relationships throughout the entire organization. My entire team has great relationships there. You can have honest conversations.

Jon Weiss:

As we think about how to innovate, we're thinking about what the benefit is ultimately to the client and to their customers.

Max Catalano:

When I think about my kids, I want them to have the freedom to do the things that they want. Institutions like Franklin Templeton, like Wells Fargo, that is what we are built to do.

Jenny Johnson:

It's bringing our capabilities to wherever that client is in their life cycle, and being able to have those solutions.
