Ryman Hospitality Properties: Nashville Spirit’s Next Act

Colin V. Reed, Executive Chairman; Mark Fioravanti, President & CEO

VOICEOVER: Welcome to the Grand Ole Opry.

COLIN: If you were in country music and you wanted to be heard, you had to play the Grand Ole Opry.

VOICEOVER: Welcome to the finest show on earth.

COLIN: We have the Sistine Chapel here.

TITLE CARD SUPER: Nashville Spirit’s Next Act

COLIN: Ryman is a real estate investment trust. We own a hotel business that primarily is focused on the group customer, and then we own this entertainment business, focused around this magical building.

TITLE CARD: Colin V. Reed, Executive Chairman, Ryman Hospitality Properties

COLIN: We have a big responsibility to help propel this magic all across the planet. We can do that, if we build new hotels... and put that product in front of customers in the markets that they frequent.

TITLE CARD: Mark Fioravanti, President & CEO, Ryman Hospitality Properties

MARK: We’re aggressively deploying capital to grow our portfolio, whether that’s [a JW Marriott in San Antonio] or [Ole Red] in Las Vegas [multiple other properties shown on U.S. map]. It feels like a piece of Americana. These hotels, at a minimum, are a billion dollars to build, and the gestation period is about ten years. Having a partner like Wells Fargo who understands the strategy, who believes in the management team, it's critically important.

MEAGAN: Companies like Ryman have to be very intentional. It doesn't matter if you're working in a country music venue or you're opening valet doors at Opryland. Everyone is in it together.

TITLE CARD: Meagan Brandriff, Managing Director, Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging and Leisure, Wells Fargo

MEAGAN: At Wells Fargo, we take a similar approach. We're bringing in our partners across the bank, and tailoring a solution, whether that’s capital raising, lending, advisory, to not only protect those assets that have this deep-rooted history, but also help Ryman expand—that’s really powerful.

COLIN: Wells Fargo has supported us through hell and high water. We can share our aspirations and have trust in these relationships.

MARK: It is an incredible team effort to help grow that next generation who will ultimately ensure the Opry’s here in another 100 years.

VOICEOVER: Grand Ole Opry, yeah.
